Old School Equipment

I was reminiscing back to my college days with some old friends over the weekend, specifically about how quickly the equipment changed in our field just before, during, and after our time studying.

We studied radio & television production, and -- without dating myself too much -- one of our instructors insisted that it still held value that we learned how to cut old school analog tape on a TASCAM multitrack machine. It was a laugh at the time but looking back I do feel very fondly about the artistry that went into slicing and taping up decades worth of audio of all kinds.

Has anyone else here worked with any classic hardware, or still incorporate any in your setup now? I would love to see it!
